Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and systems (per FSG20).
Diagnose faults using schematic drawings; repair pumps, pipework and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Assist other trades and support minor works quotations.
Ensure accurate job reporting and adherence to Health & Safety standards.
Role Overview: Responsible for general maintenance, reactive repairs, and corrective works across buildings, plant, and site. Skills & Experience Required:
Experience working in plant rooms with strong communication skills.
Full UK driving licence (max 3 points).
Mechanical engineering knowledge with ability to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in line with FSG20.
Recognised apprenticeship or qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Experience installing and selecting a variety of pipework systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings for fault finding.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Understanding of electrical principles related to mechanical plant.
Experience working with pumps (DOL and inverter driven) including fault finding and repairs.
Strong awareness of Health & Safety and safe handling practices.
Willing to work in a varied, multi-skilled role and support other trades.
